I hold a Masters in Science in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Vermont (2014).
I am certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors and am working toward licensure, under the supervision of Barbara Boutsikaris, LCMHC and Susan Lillich, PhD.
I have 3½ years of graduate training in mental health and 2½ years of clinical experience providing individual and group counseling for children, adolescents, college students, and adults struggling with a wide range of concerns.
Other degrees earned include an MFA from Goddard College (1998) and a BA from Hampshire College (1990).
In addition to my education and training, my background and life experience provides valuable perspective and continues to influence my development as a therapist.
As a writer, I have a keen interest in language, metaphor, and story. I draw inspiration from the natural world, art, music, and poetry. I understand the challenges of raising children and facing significant life transitions. I have personal experience navigating privilege, discrimination, and complex identity issues and I would be honored to explore these issues with you.
